KERNEL³
Welcome to an extraordinary journey of light and sound, brought to you by ruestungsschmie.de and Fête des Lumières Lyon. We are proud to present KERNEL³, an audiovisual projection mapping project on the timeless Cathédrale Saint-Jean-Baptiste.
KERNEL³ is an exploration of time, space, and human perception. It delves into the past, present, and future, using the cathedral’s unique architecture to tell a story that’s as old as time itself. The project uses a combination of video mapping and laser mapping, creating a mesmerizing interplay of light and sound.
One of the unique aspects of KERNEL³ is the innovative use of lasers. The laser beams act as a guide, directing the audience’s attention to specific areas of the building and adding depth to the visuals.
The sound design is another crucial element of KERNEL³, creating an immersive soundscape that enhances the overall experience. The soundtrack evolves throughout the project, reflecting the changing visuals and adding emotional depth to the narrative.
Finally, the location itself – the Cathédrale Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Lyon – adds a layer of historical and cultural significance to the project. This cathedral has stood the test of time, bearing witness to countless stories and events. Through KERNEL³, we add another chapter to its rich history.
We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to develop this special project at such an extraordinary location. We hope you enjoy experiencing KERNEL³ as much as we enjoyed creating it.
